The research aims to update the contribution of the famous Russian scientist S.V. Bakhrushin to the historiography and source studies of the history of Siberia. The purpose is to draw attention to the signed with the initials “S. V.” articles by the scientist in the second volume of the “Siberian Soviet Encyclopedia”, published in 1931. It is known that their author is Professor S.V. Bakhrushin. These are summarizing works containing source studies and historiographical results of Siberian history research, which are of great scientific, informational and reference values. They provide a comprehensive assessment of the most significant works by the researchers of the history of Siberia from the beginning of this region study until the end of the 1920s. At the first stages of preparation of the encyclopedia, Bakhrushin was a member of the editorial board, but after being accused of anti-Soviet activities, he was expelled from the team. The articles of the scholar were retained by the editorial board in the encyclopedia, but are not signed with his full name. This testifies to the meaningfulness of these works and the impossibility of replacing them with the works by other authors. An appeal to Bakhrushin's works will make it possible to expand our ideas about the scholar's scientific heritage and to return the name of this major researcher of the history of Siberia to the nameless texts.
