Fluid born noise suppression in testing set-up

This article deals with the problem of acoustic isolation of measuring section in hydraulic testing set-up against fluid-born noise in propagating in the working fluid. For this purpose special noise silencers were developed. They were located at the inlet and outlet of the measuring section. It was shown that the silencer itself can be a source of hydrodynamic noise. Elements of the silencer that causes the noise intensification in the working fluid are identified.
