Preparation for the teachers'' Council as a means of teacher’s personal potential development

This article describes preparation for the teachers' council as a means of developing important characteristic of modern teacher - his personal potential. The author substantiates the necessity of continuing professional development on the basis of preparation for the teachers' council. The resources of such preparation may provide development of teacher’s personal potential. The meaning of the concept “personal potential” is defined in the article. It is established that the common for all studies of potential is its characteristic as self-developing system of internal resources of person. In the aspect of personal potential these internal resources are: character traits, abilities, values, motives. The article presents the features of school as learning organization and highlights the importance of them during the preparation for the teachers' council, which in its turn acquires an exclusive role in implementation of successful process of developing teachers’ personal potential. The article describes different schemes of preparation for the school teachers' council, aimed at developing research, creative, and spiritual personality traits of the teacher, his communicative abilities and motives.
