Tourism personnel training in Ulyanovsk region: status and prospects

The article deals with training, professional development, and versatility training in the tourism industry of Ulyanovsk region. The article outlines the role of tourism in the socio-economic growth of the Russian Federation, analyzes the current state of tourism in the Ulyanovsk region and its development, where the training of specialists in tourism plays the most important role. Study of regional tourism resources and activity directed at using them in regional tourist services is necessary for domestic and incoming tourism development. In this terms vocational tourist education requires theoretic understanding of frame relation between the concept of contemporary pedagogical science and the concept of theory and practice of tourism. The article analyses higher educational programs and programs of additional education. A number of problems and trends related to the training of specialists in the tourism field have been identified.
