The article deals with the peculiarities of the Russian regional labor market with the peculiarities of the direction to study the needs of the labor market: to identify the necessary qualitative characteristics of specialists for the successful interaction of the spheres of labor and training, to establish close contacts with employers on the basis of market mechanisms. In order to study the need for specialists with higher education, the analysis of graduates of Rostov state universities, as well as branches of state universities located in the Rostov region with the allocation of priority areas for General release, the number of employed graduates, as well as areas requiring development and attracting attention.
