Approach to assessing the economic sustainability of an energy industry enterprise

In modern economic conditions, the process of globalization and strengthening of international business activity leads to increased competition in the market. In addition, for successful survival, enterprises are forced to confront a huge number of factors of external and internal environment, ensuring their stable economic development in the short and long term. In today’s world, making management decisions related to improving the economic sustainability of an economic entity is difficult due to constant market perturbations. The sustainability of energy enterprises is the basis for ensuring the strategic security of the state. A significant share in the studies of the theory of economic sustainability of the enterprise is occupied by the works of domestic authors. In the article to assess the economic sustainability of the energy industry enterprise, an integral indicator of economic sustainability, which includes five elements of sustainability: production and technical, financial, marketing, social and environmental. This methodology was tested at the enterprise JSC «Krasnoyarskaya CHPP-1», which is one of the main enterprises of the energy industry of Krasnoyarsk. The inclusion of environmental and social sustainability elements in the methodology is justified, as the enterprise influences the environmental situation and social responsibility in the region.
