Approaches to forming the concept of digital transformation of regional industry of the Volga federal district

The relevance of the research is due to the fact that there is a lack of scientific knowledge in determining approaches to the formation of the concept of digital transformation of the industry in the regions of the Volga Federal District. The article considers general and special approaches to the formation of the concept of digital transformation of industry in the regions of the Volga Federal District. The aim of the study is to develop approaches to the formation of the concept of digital transformation of industry in the regions of the Volga Federal District. The objectives of the study are to determine the ontological basis for the development of approaches, categorization of approaches and their description. The leading approach to the study of this problem is a comprehensive one, and the method is statistical and economic, which makes it possible to give the most complete description of industrial development at the present time. The article presents up-to-date statistical data on the innovative activity of the regions included in the Volga Federal District, as well as an analysis of the data presented, on the basis of which the further direction of the study and the form of presentation of the analytical material are determined. The theoretical significance of this study is to reveal the essence of the approach to the formation of the concept of digital transformation of the industry. The practical significance of the study is the proposal of approaches to the formation of the concept of digital transformation of the industry of the regions of the Volga Federal District, useful for creating concepts, strategies and programs for the economic development of the regions.
