Approaches to classification of countries by level socio-economic development

The diversity of the countries of the modern world necessitates their classification. The most common classification criteria are the size of the territory, population, geographical location, national composition, etc. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze various approaches to classifying countries according to the level of socio-economic development, their systematization and generalization based on data from various international organizations.
