The purpose of the study is to estimate the quality of life of the popula-tion of Krasnoyarsk Region on the basis of the technique offered by the au-thors. For the realization of the goal the following tasks were solved: analyz-ing the approaches of different researchers to the assessment of the quality of life of the population, the development of the system of indicators for the assessment of the quality of life of the population, estimating the quality of life of the population of the region on the basis of the offered authors’ tech-nique. The object of the research is social and economic processes connected with the level and the quality of life of the population of the region with ex-treme environment. The object of the study is the assessment of the quality of life of the population of the region with extreme environment. The object of the supervision is Krasnoyarsk Region as the region typical for the territo-ries with extreme environment. In the study the following methods of re-search are used: abstract and logical, settlement and constructive, method of comparative analysis and economical and statistical. Comparative analy-sis of approaches of different researchers for the assessment of the quality of life of the population is carried out. On the basis of it the authors’ technique of the assessment of the quality of life of the population of the region with ex-treme environment is offered. By this technique the assessment of quality of life of the population of Krasnoyarsk Region was carried out. The conclusion is drawn on the need of development of the priority directions of the im-provement of the quality of life of the population of the region on the pro-spect.
