Some approaches to crime forecasting in the Volgograd region: extrapolation of time series

The modern approach to solutions design in the field of law enforcement requires the use of modern information technologies. Criminological crime forecasting forms the basis for further planning of the crime prevention activities, allows the internal affairs bodies not only to identify possible areas of combating specific crimes, but also to improve the internal structure. On the basis of statistical data the article attempts to predict crime number in the Volgograd region by means of the method of extrapolation of time series.
