Search and opening gold deposits of Kyrgyzstan

This article provides the information on exploration and prospecting works in the Kyrgyz Republic and is divided into stages. Primary prospected signs of extraction of indigenous gold are found at Bozymchak, Kichisandyk, Kuru-Tegerek, Aktash, Kumbel and Kurandjailoo deposits. Ancient mining of placers, sometimes manifested by huge dumps of washed rock, are known on the Kassan, the Chatkal, the Sandalash, the Suusamyr, the Kumbel and the Naryn rivers. The gold and placer deposits shown in the work were discovered and explored in the Soviet period and constitute the country's mineral and raw material base. The acceleration of field works at separate deposits and promising areas will undoubtedly contribute to the expansion of mineral and raw material base of gold mining industry, the development of which is recognized as one of the priority areas for the development of the Kyrgyz economy.
