Search of new thermoluminophors on the basis of AB 4O 7:Dy borates (A=Mg, Sr, Ca, Cd, Ba)

A series of borates Mg 2B 2O 5:Dy, Mg 3B 2O 6:Dy, LiMg 05B 4O 7:Dy, LiMgBO 3:Dy, AB 4O 7:Dy (A=Sr, Ca, Cd, Ba) is synthesised and tested on thermoluminescence effect. High-sensitivity borate thermoluminophor CaB 4O 7:Dy is obtained. Comparison of CaB 4O 7:Dy with known thermoscintillation material MgB 4O 7:Dy is made. Influence of secondary doping by monovalent metals (Li, Na, Tl) on thermoscintillation properties CaB 4O 7:Dy is studied.
