Waist-belt brackets of Southern Siberia of late Scythian time

Article is devoted classification, chronology and definition of a functional purpose of waist-belt brackets late scythian epoch of Southern Siberia. The typological analysis has allowed to allocate two groups of brackets - multiannulate and annulate with a figure an animal in the centre. Both groups of brackets are dated IV-II centuries BC. Multiannulate suspension brackets have received wide distributions to Tuva, annulate in the Minusinsk hollow. Brackets were details of belts and were used as suspension bracket, distributors of belts, buckles. Waist-belt brackets were an accessory of a suit of persons carrying out priestly or shamanism functions and had ritual appointment.
