The article deals with the actual phenomenon of contemporary culture - comics based on literary works. The material of the present research is the comics-adaptation based on Mickael Bulgakov’s novel «The Master and Margarita». The authors dwell upon its poetics, features and structure. The material of the article is of interest because of the author of the comics analyzed, who lives in the South Ural Region. In the comics-adaptation by R.B. Tanaev the original text doesn’t only reflect the author’s style but also emphasizes comic effects peculiar to the genre. The so-called «Moscow» chapters of Mickael Bulgakov’s novel are known to have similar peculiarities. The authors arrive at a conclusion that the comic style of the adaptation supports the writer’s artistic conception and doesn’t contradict it.
