Visual poetics in Wyndham Lewis's "Enemy of the stars"

The article analyses the play Enemy of the Stars by the British writer and painter Wyndham Lewis in the aspect of relations between the verbal and the visual in its poetics. Experimental poetics of the play written on the border of the centuries is interpreted as a literary implementation of the conflict between form and content which was represented in a radical fashion in the visual arts of the beginning of the XX century. Thus, the play is included into the context of artistic experiments of world modernism.
