The poetics of gesture in the novel «Doctor Zhivago» (an outline)

The article considers one of the most important characteristics of the gesture poetics in B. Pasternak's novel «Doctor Zhivago». An outstanding, significant gesture is not depicted and is left hidden from the reader pointing to the poetics of «hidden» gesture. This principle is viewed in the episode of Lara's shot in the part «Christmas Tree at Sventitsky's Place». I. Bunin's «Light Breathing» is considered as a possible source not only of the fabula but also of this principle in the novel.
