Poetry as a type of knowledge in the fiction style “allegorical epopee” by S. S. Bobrov “The old night of the universe, or the fartravelling blind”

The article analyzes the idea of S.S. Bobrov about the poetry as a type of knowledge, the structure of which the poet relates to the theological and philosophical type of knowledge. The author considers in detail the system of views of Bobrov, their genesis and specificity, and conceptualizes the influence of the ideas of a prominent theoretician of the Russian culture of the 18 th century, V.K. Trediakovsky, on the views of the poet.
