The indices of physical development of children and adolescents of Tver region who reside under different ecological conditions

Within the framework of a State contract with the Department of natural resources and environmental safety management of Tver Region Tver state medical Academy has undertaken a research to estimate environmental status effect on children's health in the Region. 613 children and adolescents at the age from 10 to 18 years who have resided in the districts with various ecological situation for not less than 5 years were studied with clinico-functional and anthropometric methods. Preliminary results of the study confirm high significance of ecological factors in the level of physical development and adaptative resources formation in children and adolescents.
