The article is devoted to the features of the structural and functional description and the quality characteristic when developing technical systems on the basis of modular synthesis. Procedure of specification preparation and development when designing technical systems on the example of irreversible mechatronic manipulators is described. The algorithm of their structural design is given and their operational indicators of quality are presented.
