Fruits indicators of xyridion irises in the Mari El Republic conditions

The studies results of fruit boxes parameters of 4 Iris Xyridion species in collection of the VSUT Botanical Garden-Institute are given. Iris halophila has the largest boxes, Iris orientalis - the smallest ones. The correlation between the length and diameter of the boxes is very close. Iris sogdiana has the least number of seeds in the boxes, Iris cartaliniae - the largest one. This indicator is characterized by the lowest variation. The correlation between the number of seeds in boxes and their size is weak.
