Productivity and quality indicators of Capsicum annuum group hybrids depending on the stimulants used

The effect of growth regulators on sweet pepper in the north-western zone of the Rostov Region has been studied for 3 years. In field experiments on hybrids of sweet pepper Flamingo and Porteka in comparison with the option without the use of stimulants, the effect of 6 recent compounds was studied, which, with all positive characteristics, additionally have fungicidal properties. The arrangement of plots was systematic, with four-fold repetition. Seeding was carried out in the second decade of March manually in cassettes filled with peat soil with further cultivation in a polycarbonate greenhouse. The first non-root treatment with stimulants was performed in the phase 1-2 of true leaves and the 2nd two weeks after the first. The third treatment was carried out after transplanting into the open ground, which was characterized as southern chernozem. With the help of the studied substances, the periods of flowering and fruiting occurred earlier than in the control variant in the Porteka hybrid by 3-9 and 5-12 days, , in the Flamingo hybrid - by 4-6 and 3-9 days. The use of stimulants had a positive effect on the biometric indicators of plants. In sweet pepper hybrids Flamingo/Porteka in the phase of 1-2 of true leaves, the plant height was higher, in relation to the control, by 1.15/1.28-2.75/2.72 cm, leaf length by 1.5/1.25-3.03/2.24 cm; in phase 5-6 of true leaves height-on 2.97/1.66-5.45/4.1 cm, length-on 0.53/2.39-2.15/4.82 сm. A good development of plants, which eventually allowed to get an increase from 23.5 to 78.8%, was obtained by both increasing the growth rate of plants and improving immunity, which was manifested in a decrease in the degree of development of major diseases. In general, options with the use of growth stimulants are highly effective, but more significant and reliable indicators were obtained for the compounds “Phytosporin” and “Albit”.
