The fieldworks of the protestant religious organizations of the institute of ethnological research of the Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences

This article briefly examines the history of field studies of Protestant religious organizations conducted by the Department of Religious Studies of the Institute of Ethnological Studies of the Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences from 2009 to 2015. The Department of Religious Studies conducted research on various aspects of the functioning of Protestant religious organizations located both in the Republic of Bashkortostan and on the territory of the Southern, Middle and Polar Urals and Western Siberia; ethno-demographic, doctrinal and ideological features of believers were studied. New empirical and theoretical provisions based on the results of original field research were introduced into scientific circulation; new methods of collecting, processing and analyzing empirical materials were developed. According to the results of the research, more than forty scientific articles have been published, as well as four monographs.
