Бесплатный доступ

To date, a number of studies have been carried out to investigate the role of polymorphisms in estrogen receptor (ESR) and aromatase (CYP19A1) genes in knee osteoarthritis. However, the obtained results are contradictory and are not sufficient to formulate final conclusions. Purpose of the study: to investigate the associations of the rs2234693 and rs9340799 polymorphisms in ESR1 gene and the rs2414096 and rs936306 polymorphisms in CYP19A1 gene with knee osteoarthritis in postmenopausal women. Material and methods. Molecular genetic studies were performed in 157 postmenopausal women with knee osteoarthritis. The control group consisted of 326 women of the same age without signs of joint disease.
