Political activity of youth in modern Russia

The article is devoted to the surge in public interest concerning the problem of participation of youth of Russia in political life in the middle of the first decade of the 20 th century. The author classifies the public youth organizations and ways of political impact on youth through the public youth organizations. The differences of methods of political influence on youth in Russia and other countries as well as problems of youth political parties today and All-Union Leninist Young Communist League experience have been considered. The new model of relationship between youth initiatives and society has been marked out. The reasons of political apathy of young people have been analysed.
