The article is devoted to the social and philosophical analysis of the phenomena of political competition and political market in contemporary Russian society, which are the important characteristics of social reality, as the competition is the attribute of a market society. The form of competition is the contest, on the content it is the process of fighting for better conditions of social activities in order to achieve a certain goal or success in life. On the political competition is closely connected phenomenon of the political market as an integral part of democratic society.
