Political culture as an object of scientific analysis

The article considers the main approaches to the analysis of political culture, including functional, cultural, institutional and rational aspects. On the basis of the concept of G. Almond and S. Verba, political culture is defined as a system of cognitive, affective and evaluative orientations of citizens regarding the political system. Key theoretical positions and typologies of political culture and their role in shaping political behavior are highlighted. The interrelationships between modernization, institutions and cultural factors influencing democratization and sustainability of political systems are analyzed.
