Political socialization of youth in Turkmenistan

This article considers the peculiarities of political socialization of Turkmen youth. The text emphasizes that political socialization occurs through the internalization of cultural norms and values of society, and its active influence on the individual's assimilation of these norms determines the vector of development of society in accordance with the interests of power. Modern education in Turkmenistan is analyzed, focusing on the problems related to the political socialization of young people. The main attention is paid to the formation of political consciousness of young people, including ideology, motives, beliefs and practical activities in the political sphere. The peculiarity of political socialization of youth in Turkmenistan is considered, focusing on restrictions related to access to information and control over mass media. The text of the article emphasizes the impact of social networks and restrictions on media freedom on the formation of political views of young people, emphasizing the narrow access to world news and the creation of the effect of information isolation. The need to eliminate these restrictions and create conditions for active citizenship of young people is emphasized.
