Political and legal aspects of inclusion of Terek Cossacks’ lands within the Mountain Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in 1921

The paper deals with the range of problems of political, economic, interethnic and legal conditions, which caused the formation of the Mountain Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in 1921. The authors analyze forms and methods of the policy regarding the Terek Cossacks, consider its criminal law and international aspects, as well as discuss the impact of this policy on the change of subjects and objects of land use in the given area.
