Political risks in Caucasian-Caspian region

The events that took place in the second half of the 20th century, connected with various conflicts and the change of ruling elites in many countries, forced political scientists and economists to turn their attention to the problem of political risk. Abroad, interest in the issue of political risks arose at the end of the 50s of the 20th century in connection with the events in Cuba, and from the end of the 60s this problem began to be studied from scientific positions. However, it was not until the early 80s of the 20th century that methods for analyzing political risk began to be developed. It should be noted that a sharp increase in interest in the problem of political risk was noted in the Caspian state of Iran after the 1979 revolution. In the 1980s, the largest number of publications appeared on this topic, which focus on methods of analyzing political risk. This has led to the creation of a large number of consulting firms specializing in the assessment of political risks in different countries.
