Political specificity of autocracy in journalism of I.L. Solonevich and Russian conservatives of the late XIX - first half of XX centuries

The article reveals the understanding of the phenomenon of the Russian autocracy in political journalism of the famous figure of the Russian emigration I.L. Solonevich, and also in his final work «The national monarchy». The author focuses the main attention on the identity of the Russian autocracy, built on a deep moral principle of legitimism, in contrast to the Byzantine tradition, in which power generated right and authority, and also on the fundamental differentiation of autocracy and Western European absolutism.
