Policy of the Qing empire in Central Asia (historiographical review)

The article is devoted to the historiographical analysis of foreign policy studies of the Qing Empire in Central Asia. The author has considered in detail the evolution of the researchers' views on the nature and content of the Manchurian-Mongolian relations. The ambiguity of approaches, depending on the attracted source base of research, to the key events of the Mongolian territories' entering into the Qing Empire, was shown.
