U.S. policy in China in the middle of the XIX century

The article examines the process of development of the enslavement of China by the United States of America in the 40-50-ies of the XIX century. The author concludes that as a result of the two US-Chinese treaties signed in 1844 and 1858, China became open to further economic and political enslavement of the United States.
