The policy of reunification of Crimea with Russia on the pages of Crimean print media: the features of discursive practices

The scientific relevance of the topic is substantiated by the value of discursive practices of regional media for the success of the reunification of Crimea with Russia. The scientific novelty of the research is the comparative analysis of the content of two popular dailies: “The Crimean Truth” and “The Glory of Sevastopol”. The author has found that there is an information gap in the media space of Sevastopol, that substantially affects the news agenda of the newspapers. The leading topics of the media during the Crimean reunification with Russia were the violent confrontation in Kiev, the assessment of the legitimacy of the elite that came to power as a result of an armed coup in Ukraine, the Crimean security thanks to the Russian policy.
