Political and legal views of John Stuart mill in perception of liberals of «Herald of Europe»

The political and legal ideas expressed by John Mill, the significant contributor to British liberalism, are critically analysed in the present work. Standing for individual rights and liberties and the constitutional state, Russian liberals regarded the problems of state and law in relation to ethic issues. They accepted John Mill's ideas devoted to the development of classical liberalism towards new (social) liberalism.
