Politological analysis and contemporary vision of the issue of the best political regime and form of government choice

The article considers the main ideas of thinkers of the ancient world, the Middle Ages, Modern and Contemporary times about the best political regime and the form of government that are completely meet the requirements of population and the society on the whole. The peculiarities of perception of the west image of democracy by Russians are discovered, reflections on the phenomenon of democracy in contemporary Russia are given. Special attention is paid to the necessity of the development and improvement of democratic achievements.
