The status of the craftsmen during Joseon dynasty time in Korea (the end of the 14th - 15th centuries)

Joseon period has left a substantial mark on the history of Korea, many cultural norms of modern Korean state can be traced back to the traditions of Joseon time. The article is devoted to the craft industries of Joseon period at the end of the 14th - 15th centuries, the status of craftsmen and their role in the society. The article explores the basic branches of production, the state institutions to which craftsmen got registered and the main forms of handicraft production selling during the period.
