Status of the small and medium-sized business entities in the light of changes legislation

The article analyzes the novelties of the legislation of the Russian Federation on the contract of equity participation in construction, adopted with a view to securing the legitimate rights and interests of the participants in shared construction in the event that a bankruptcy procedure is introduced into the developer’s relations. The impact of legislative changes on the situation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) operating in the market of shared construction as developers is considered. The authors conclude that the establishment of increased requirements for participants in shared construction will lead to a decrease in the number of SME operating in this market.
