Examples of photographic fixation of the state of various components of vehicles damaged by fire are given. The main features characteristic of the trace pattern observed during arson of vehicles are considered. Findings and Conclusions: extracting the most useful information from the traces found when examining the scene of an accident is a basic task that has to be solved when investigating vehicle fires.
