The concept and classification of distribution agreement

This article examines some aspects of the concept of “distribution agreement”, attempts to develop a classification of such an agreement, analyzes the materials of Russian judicial practice concerning the qualification of the distribution agreement. The research objective is an integrated system-based legal and theoretical analysis of problems related to defining the essence of the distribution agreement and different approaches to its classification, identifying the law enforcement issues, and finding ways to solve them. The scientific novelty of this article is primarily due to the fact that the concept and classification of distribution agreements are comprehensively studied both in theoretical and practical aspects, taking into account the current state of legislation and law enforcement practice. The methodological basis of the research is the dialectic method of scientific knowledge which provides an opportunity to study the interrelation and interdependence of social phenomena. While researching the issue, the author applied logical, system-related and structural, comparative legal, formal legal methods, as well as methods of analysis and synthesis that are typical for the law. Any expert in the field of law does not dispute the significance of interpreting a distribution agreement. Moreover, it is of scientific interest for many researchers. The author concludes that the present distribution agreement is considered to be widespread, but it is not regulated by law.
