The article considers such type of insurance as agricultural insurance and its subspecies - crop insurance. Crop insurance is an important tool to protect agricultural producers from risks and contributes to the sustainable development of the agricultural industry. In Russia, the level of crop insurance is still lower than in the developed countries of the world.
