The concept and legal nature of a court fine

Purpose: To study of the social and legal essence of a judicial fine as another measure of a criminal-legal nature in order to highlight the signs, grounds and conditions for its application. Methodology: Formally legal, comparative legal and systemic research methods were used. Results: The article reveals the peculiarities of legal regulation of a court fine as another measure of a criminal-legal nature and as a type of exemption from criminal liability. Novelty/originality/value: The article has scientific value and novelty, since it examines the social purpose of a court fine, its content and features, goals and objectives. The grounds and conditions for exemption from criminal liability in connection with the appointment of a court fine are analyzed. The legal consequences of non-payment of the court fine are reflected.
