This article deals with the legal presumption and its features. It studies current academic schools (theories, opinions) concerned with issues of content and fulfillment of the legal presumptions. The author makes an attempt to give an optimum and capacious definition of the legal presumption concept and on its basis describes characteristics of the legal presumption.
