The concept of love in the history of philosophy

The article is devoted to different ideas about love in different historical periods of philosophy. The philosophers of Antiquity believed that love is a cosmic process. Thinkers of the Middle Ages believed that the love of a woman is a threat to the salvation of the soul. The Renaissance retains the love that descends to the cosmic and bodily origin, and the love that goes back to God. The era of modern times gave rise to a whole pleiad of philosophers, each of whom gave his assessment of the essence of love between a man and a woman.
