The concept of violence in linguistics and development of the concept of personal protection in criminal law

Introduction: the author studies the etymology of the concept “violence”, its semantic content and meaning in etymological and meaning dictionaries of the Russian Language, as well as current Russian linguistic research on the subject matter to use acquired knowledge in criminal law.
