Concept of ensuring the safety participants in criminal proceedings in the investigation of offences committed by organized criminal groups

The relevance of the topic of the article is due to the growth of organised crime, the need to effectively combat it, while taking into account the importance of ensuring the safety of all participants in criminal proceedings. The article analyses the main opinions of scientists engaged in the development of the concept of ensuring the safety of participants of criminal proceedings in the investigation of crimes committed by organised criminal groups. The author made an attempt to determine the main conceptual elements, signs, characteristic features, features of the category "ensuring the safety of participants of criminal proceedings" in general, and then to identify the specifics of the application of these measures specifically in the investigation of crimes committed by organised criminal groups. On the basis of the obtained data the definition of "ensuring the safety of participants of criminal proceedings in the investigation of crimes committed by organised groups" is formulated. Also in the article the features of normative-legal regulation of this aspect of the institute of ensuring the safety of participants of criminal proceedings are analysed, gaps in the legislation are identified, and on this basis proposals for improving the legislation in this area are developed.
