Notion of the word "term" and some ways of English term formation

The article deals with the problems of terminology as their study is one of the main goals of linguistics nowadays. The article gives the definition of the word "term" and linguistic analysis of some ways of term formation such as semantic transfer, transdisciplinary borrowing, affixation, compounding and foreign borrowing.
