The article analyzes the main approaches to understanding the essence of the judge's inner conviction, examines the peculiarities of the influence of the law, legal ideology and moral reference point-conscience on the process of forming the judge's inner conviction. The system of persuasion of a judge as a concept having a heterogeneous nature is studied. The moral and ethical side of the judge's inner conviction is investigated.
