The article is devoted to the understanding of "health" and "illness" in the philosophy of F. Nietzsche. An important place is given to the relationship between "health" and "illness", in which the disease, according to the philosopher, is the key to health. The article reveals F. Nietzsche's conviction that illness and health are dialectical categories. The philosopher, relying on his own experience, comes to the conclusion that the development of the disease leads to the fact that it becomes the basis for life and health. In this article, based on the works of Nietzsche, it is proved that medical concepts are important in the philosophical understanding of the problems of man, society, and culture.
