The article is devoted to the issue of operating hydraulic structures of the cascade of small hydroelectric power stations. The feasibility of forming an effective system for controlling the state of hydraulic structures, which serves to prevent dangerous destruction of objects, is considered. The rational implementation of such a system depends on the duration of safe operation of hydraulic structures, minimization of operating costs and negative impact on the environment. The control system for a hydraulic object must be based on modern information systems for continuous monitoring of the state of structures of hydraulic structures with efficiency, reliability, cost-effectiveness, automation, mobility and intelligence.
