The consequences of economic sanctions as a trigger for the growth of corruption in society

The article presents the results of the authors’ research in terms of assessing the effects of economic sanctions on corruption manifestations in society. The essential content of the concepts of «triggers» and «corruption triggers» in relation to the prevailing economic conditions and factors is considered. In addition, the factors that initiate the corrupt behavior of people in the prevailing economic conditions have been identified, measures have been proposed to reduce the level of corrupt manifestations in society. The information provided is confirmed by statistical data of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, including data on the Bryansk region.
